Through anecdotal discussion from service users and residents, a need to better understand services supporting Mental Health Services in Thurrock were identified in early 2018.

As we look forward to 2018/19 our operational plans will be to increase our ambassadors in more areas building on the successes of the past year and become even more integrated in the community that we represent.

2016/17 has been another busy but successful year for Healthwatch Thurrock. Although only a small team the support we get from our overarching organisation Thurrock CVS has allowed us to expand.

Healthwatch Thurrock undertook a piece of work and carried out a survey on the blood testing services at Orsett and Basildon Hospitals.

Healthwatch Thurrock has been working alongside the ESR NHS England Team to ensure that the Thurrock community that use these NHS Services are aware of the changes taking place and what changes they should expect to see.
